Haul Away Junk Without the Hassle
Fully insured, licensed, and backed by over 100 five-star reviews.
Serve the Illinois Valley Right
Professional junk removal grounded in 100-plus five-star reviews
Highsmith Haul Away has been serving the Illinois Valley since 2020, covering a 30-mile radius from Lamoille with junk removal, estate cleanouts, hoarder cleanups, dumpster rental, light demolition, hot tub removal, piano removal, eviction cleanouts, and commercial cleanouts. Out here in Spring Valley and across rural Illinois, junk removal options are genuinely scarce outside major towns — and that gap is exactly what this business was built to fill. Over 100 five-star customer reviews reflect what happens when a crew actually does what it says it's going to do.
If you're staring down a property transition, a cleanout job that's gotten out of hand, or a pile of stuff that just needs to disappear, you don't need a runaround — you need someone to show up with the right equipment and get it done. Seasonal demand spikes in spring when properties undergo major transitions, so reaching out early puts you ahead of the rush.
Highsmith Haul Away isn't built on promises — it's built on a track record of reliability, professional equipment, and trained crews who know how to handle the full range of jobs the Illinois Valley throws at them. We recycle and donate aggressively, because where your stuff ends up matters too.

How a Cleanout Actually Gets Done
We show up when we say we will — that's not a tagline, it's the baseline. Every job starts with a clear scope, the right crew size, and equipment matched to the work, whether that's a single piece like a hot tub or a full eviction cleanout of a commercial property. You'll know what to expect before we show up, and there won't be surprises when we leave.
Coordination is straightforward: reach out, get a free estimate, and we take it from there. Faster communication runs through Facebook Messenger if that works better for you. We're not going to hand you off to a call center or make you chase anyone down.
Here's what working with us looks like across the board:
Fully insured and licensed on every job — no exceptions, no gray areas.
Metal is pulled from dumpsters and recycled rather than dumped straight, a step most larger operators skip entirely.
Jobs span the full Illinois Valley — Spring Valley, La Salle, Peru, Ottawa, Mendota, Princeton, Utica, Oglesby, Amboy, Earlville, and everywhere within 30 miles of Lamoille.
Donations are prioritized when items have usable life left, keeping recoverable material out of the landfill.

What Reliability Looks Like in Practice
Since 2020, Highsmith Haul Away has handled the kind of jobs that don't fit neatly into a category — piano removals, hot tub extractions, hoarder cleanouts that other crews walked away from, and eviction cleanouts that needed to move fast. This isn't a side hustle or a chuck in a truck; it's a business built on professional equipment, trained crews, and accountability on every job. Illinois Valley communities have come to count on that because the alternative — waiting on an operator who may or may not show — isn't a real option when work needs to get done.
Over 100 five-star reviews don't come from luck. They come from crews who treat your property with care, haul what they said they'd haul, and leave the site cleaner than they found it. That consistency — job after job, across a 30-mile service area — is what separates a real operation from a one-time experiment.
